for fans of tusk (2014) and drag me to hell (2009), full of dumb as hell irony and absurd deaths. i was laughing out loud 85% of this. theo james was miscast, and the story goes to some tedious / dull places near the end. still, a joy to watch and such stupid fun.

thought i’d feel more mixed on this after reading some of the reviews (and hating eggers’ last movie), but all the pieces really fit together here for me.
