Poorly aged and hard to follow. I went in knowing the concept and wondered before it started how it wasn’t a classic I’d been aware of before recently. With its stars it should have been so much better. Very sparingly funny and kind of a waste.

Gladiator II 2024
Wompity womp, kind of a drag honestly. Anachronisms aside, it just wasn’t very engaging. Whole theater was laughing at parts I’m assuming were meant to be serious— also maybe it’s just me (or the theater I was in) but a few of the heavy action scenes were so loud I swear my ear drums nearly burst.
Had some good moments though and I did enjoy the visuals. Pedro Pascal rules.

Walker 1987
Genuinely needs to be seen to be believed— this is like a Peckinpah western on mescaline. The ending/credit footage is particularly moving. It’s not shocking this is on the list of movies that destroyed the career of the director. I felt the punch of Repo Man with a somehow even higher level of chaos.
I’ve certainly certainly never seen anything quite like this.

Absolute trip, the 70s are alive and well. Sci-fi end of the world environmentalist flick that I just ate up. It’s slow in parts but even the 240p version I watched on YouTube was beautiful and tragic.
