Long Live The Movies.
(Top 4 atm)
Beau is Afraid gang rise up
Todd Haynes is the only director that should be allowed to make biopics
(Also this is film is sorta dumb but that makes it much better honestly and it’s my type of dumb)
Such an 80s film. Like it feels like I’m walking through a synthesizer while inhaling cocaine through my ass at the same time.
The songs are really good
I feel like I really enjoyed my experience of watching this movie but when it ends I didn’t really remember anything, like it vanishes from memory. Anyhow the performances are amazing. The actors can sing really well to boot. I found myself loving the first half and kinda wishing they focused on the electric part of his career more. Music movies are like catnip for me tho so I enjoyed it quite a bit
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Fuck bitches named Ivan seriously. An interesting blend of tones here where there are some sad scenes that are pretty funny, and some scenes where I didn't know how to feel. This is certainly a new York movie
