the projector in screen 10 of cineworld Hemel Hempstead decided to stop working half an hour before the end, so I had to watch the final act on my laptop, which is annoying because fuck me that final act was so great. The Brutalist 2024
The first half of this film for me was so compelling, moving and well-crafted, kinda perfect. While I appreciated the second half was trying not to just do more of the same... I kinda think more of the same would've been more gratifying. Second part had its moments but ultimately left me pretty cold and I'm not really sure what they were going for. Hey ho!
