  I've been holding this back for a while. It's so clean. It's clean to the point of emptiness. A conflict driven by fomo centering on people who are only ever implied to be remarkable. Not a scrap of trash on NYC streets? Bloodless rise through the theater industry? The Eternal Sunshine reference makes sense when you wonder whether this is all a dream, or a coma.

  Laughing by the end, groaning the entire way there. Gen-Z dialogue once again fails to escape the uncanny valley between how terminally online young people actually talk and how bad comedians, pundits, and people who mock the “specter of Liberal Arts” think they talk. I wouldn’t throw out the whole script but at some moments you just sink in your chair as the immersion shatters before your eyes. Then a 30-looking Pete Davidson enters the shot; grinds that shattered immersion…
