The Last Castle 2001
James Gandolfini plays a mirror image of every vindictive and toxic field grade senior officer I have ever met. He should have gotten an Oscar for accuracy. Both of Gandolfini and Robert Redford’s character’s desire for control and prominence is the same. The only difference being their methods. But don’t let Redford’s hero arc fool you as both of those men belong in that prison. The movie is pretty okay otherwise but makes you suspend your disbelief for the prisoners…
