After enjoying Thor: Ragnarok so much I had really high hopes for this movie especially after the addition of Christian Bale to the cast. But at this point in the marvel franchise it feels like they have just turned Thor into a joke. This movie in general just felt really dumbed down and simplified as if they removed anything serious or even a tad bit dark from the film. It also was super disappointing to see them completely drop the ball with Christian Bales role as Gorr.

The Menu 2022
This movie definitely keeps you on your toes as it’s often hard to guess what happens next throughout the film. Sort of a combination of a thriller and horror movie despite it not being incredibly scary. However it felt like it was lacking character development. I didn’t feel particularly close or relate to any of the characters throughout the movie which made it hard to really be invested in the outcomes of their stories. Overall entertaining but the story and characters were a little disappointing especially considering the talented cast.

Avatar: The Way of Water 2022
It was different enough from the first one to tell its own story despite lots of similarities and familiar faces. Also similarly to the first one, director James Cameron once again creates a really unique and interesting world with its own cultures and creatures along with plenty of great visuals and landscapes. Seemed like some parts of the story and it’s overall development felt a bit rushed and could have been given better explanations but for a 3 hour film it was overall a very enjoyable movie.
