tobenna rec, i liked the first half a bunch. when the second half came about i was ready to be disappointeeddddd. i usually hate when movies completely shift focus, waves is a good example. but i ended up enjoying it! maybe i should give waves another shot. anyway yeah decent watch but nothing special to me.

A Real Pain 2024
really good watch. i feel really happy for Jesse Eisenberg, wrote and directed and 'starred' in this wonderful movie, his monologues were tremendous. i found it piercing, and although pithy, it's great to see what can be accomplished in ~80 minutes. Kieran Culkin played the hell out of his role, 100% brought the character to life and im sure accomplished exactly what Jesse Eisenberg was aiming for. i like that guy from the white lotus too. hearing some things that you've thought being said from someone else's mouth makes it taste different, gives me a lot to think about
