  A surprisingly committed retelling of Sanctuary. Temple’s night of waiting in the dark bedroom is absolutely exhausting to get through. That the central crime occurs in the soft light of morning is of particular impact in the translation to screen.

  Weirdly elaborate two and a half hour Family Guy homage.

  Bananas second act. Wasn’t sure if the audience was going to start cheering or throwing tomatoes at the screen. Haven’t heard a cinema go that loud in so long. Such control over each image and how it slowly unveils information is extremely impressive. Opening moments on the boat are genius.
