  The mix of that dirty, early digital cinematography and the beautiful 35mm is breathtaking… the best of both Mann’s. A truly gorgeous looking film. Will Smith is just incredible. It’s tough to convey the importance and magnitude of someone like Ali, who was so much bigger than just a person, and Will Smith does it impeccably. If anyone deserves to slap someone at the oscars, it’s him.

  Schoenbrun is one of the most unique and singular voices in film right now. I loved World’s Fair but it clearly felt like a debut, whereas TV Glow feels like a total mastering of those ideas. I find Jane’s exploration of identity as an entity over physical form, as well as the subsequent suffocation of being trapped in that form, so fascinating.
