Premium Rush 2012
I'm only giving this movie four stars because it was the surprise of the summer. I was interested in the movie, but I was also expecting it to be absolutely terrible. In the end, the story and characters were enjoyable, and the bike scenes were great. The movie did a great job of laying out the city of New York with some cool aerial map scenes and as crazy as some of the biking was, it wasn't extremely unbelievable.
The movie was a non-stop, brakeless ride.

Drive was an unexpected surprise. To some, this might have been something unwanted (one moviegoer even filed a lawsuit). The movie moves along at a slow pace, and there really isn't that much action. The main character (who lacks even a name, other than 'Driver' or 'Kid') is very quiet, and there are even odd pauses in conversations. The background music is full of ambient synth. Disclaimer: I haven't read any of the books, or seen the original movie.
I recently picked up the Blu-ray for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and tonight I decided to watch it. The first time I saw it was in theatres, sometime around last Christmas. I was mostly interested in the film because of the soundtrack, which is yet another masterpiece by Trent Reznor and it fits the movie perfectly (the soundtrack is actually longer than the movie).
