Such a cool movie..
That opening sequence along just makes you want to join the aviation sector of the navy. And combine F-14’s taking off a carrier with the awesome music and you e got you self one hell of an opening sequence which I was fortunate enough to show my 3 yr old son who was glued to the screen the whole time.. until maverick gets to Miramar then he fell asleep. I feel very neutral about this movie.. I neither hated nor loved it.
I had an afternoon to kill while Lucy took the kids to hang out with her sister so I thought sure why the hell not see it..
It was entertaining enough for a post endgame marvel movie. But by no means is it in the top 10 nor the bottom 5 of marvel movies.
I like that this universe is finally acknowledging the celestial in the Indian…

I’ll preface this by saying haven’t seen the musical (although I have very much wanted to, and even more so now) and knew next to nothing about the story, all I know is that Glinda knew the wicked witch back in the day. And can confidently say this was a bloody delightful movie. Both visually and to the ear.
The production design was absolutely gorgeous. The sets were amazing and actually built which is nice to see in this day…
