I loved the style of this movie. From the lighting colors in the scene that pop out of Hong Kong, to the wacky but super interesting camera work that was used, this movie made me interested and excited. Although the story was sort of confusing at times, I still felt drawn to liking the movie itself.

Evil Dead II 1987
This movie was hilarious to me. Others might not find if that way, but all the overuse of blood and cheesy one-liners made it a blast to watch. I loved seeing all the practical effects they used, and some new innovations in camera work as well.

Mad Max: Fury Road 2015
At first, this film seemed like a typical action movie that was just mindless violence and killing in a gritty, terrible landscape. After looking farther into it though, I realized that the story is much richer than that and it actually has a lot of feminist undertones that come in subtly but do impact the viewer. I liked the movie a decent amount before this, and now I like it more because of that. It was thrilling and also had a lot of hidden meanings, which makes it reward a rewatch.
