  Between seeing this and many a Bergman, especially Persona, over the past few weeks at the ifi, my soul feels reinvigorated. Cinema is breathing life into my soul again. Watching these essential works is purposeful and fulfilling. I wept for Alma and Elisabeth for eighty minutes, shared their anguish with a room outside my own for the first time, I hope to do it again down the line.
