  I read this book years ago and loved it. Watched the  movie on a flight and while it held my attention (I didn’t fall asleep) which I why I gave it 2 start instead of 1 it wasn’t good. What bothered me most was the casting.  The female leads were ok, but the main male character had the personality of a cardboard box. Was he handsome? Yes but just felt like they picked a pretty boy but felt no emotion at all. 
  John kransinski was a supporting character that felt out of place and just left hanging.
