History’s perpetuity is in its denial. The never-ending quest to cloak tragedy. Never to be systemically blanked; but hesitantly reviewed. Glazer’s abstract looking-glass strips away the mystique of time and interpretation. His harrowing observation of societal normality quietly scrutinises me, you, us.
A stone wall isn’t subtle. Less is it nuanced imagery; that’s what makes it terrifying. We accept the truth, but we’re separated from that very same. It’s chilling to bear witness to desensitisation at its most inhumane.

As a person infatuated with the world Frank Herbert built from ink, I’ve equally found myself disillusioned with self-contained elements from that world, most notably: the women that inhabit it. And most egregiously, Chani.
Herbert’s passion for deconstructing the philosophy behind Religious Fanaticism lends itself tool-in-hand to lining the sinister undertones for an otherwise thematically (subtle) story – at least, at surface level.
