Sayombhu Mukdeeprom is undoubtedly one of the best cinematographers working today, and I feel about this film similarly to how I feel about Challengers, Guadaginos other film from 2024. The film is visually spectacular, with truly incredible cinematography, but the story and relationships lack the juice to keep them interesting for the entire runtime.

I really enjoyed the first half, the begging of their relationship and the strange dynamic of longing from Daniel Craig's character was intriguing but it didn't progress far enough from that for me. Daniel Craig's performance was genuinely incredible and I really want to see him in more smaller-budget character based films.

Tells a similar story to many others in recent years - Get Out, The Menu, i assume Midsommar - but it lacks any important themes, any sort of directorial flair. It suffers from having no actual meaning other than face value critiques on celebrity culture, refusing to delve deeper into any of it's simple themes of celebrity idolisation and abuse. Ayo edibri and John Malkovich were the only saving grace of this truly uninspired, extremely frustrating film that I've seen 10 times but better.

The modern empire strikes back and I do not say that lightly.

What an absolutely incredible epic, I feel lucky I got to see it in the cinema. It feels like what I imagine it was like when the lord of the rings trilogy was releasing and I know I'm making a lot of comparisons but that's the levels that dune reaches.

Checks absolutely every box - the performances are amazing, the music is so captivating, the visuals just speak…

Intense, fast paced anxiety inducing thrill ride with a performance of a lifetime from Adam Sandler. The score was erratic and amazing, the dialogue and performances were so quick, aggressive and tense that I spent the entire film on the edge of my seat. That ending completely shocked me even though it shouldn't have because it completely fits what the film was going for.

God, Adam Sandler can really act when he wants to, he should take more serious roles because he is incredible in this.
