It’s pretty good, in an artsy way. There isn’t any one cohesive plot, but it does an excellent job presenting a compelling slice of life.
This is a movie about an outbreak on an airplane. The main character is a former fighter jet pilot who must contend with his trauma and land the plane safely. It is a comedy movie that aims to make fun of disaster movies, and there are jokes every minute.
It’s funny, but a lot of the jokes were cringey or aged poorly. I think The Naked Gun (1991) and Top Secret (1984) are better spoof movies, and I’d recommend them before Airplane!

I loved the Boston setting, and the tie-ins to the city’s history of organized crime. In my opinion, I didn’t like the romantic sub-plot, but I loved the rest of it, and would not hesitate to recommend it.
