  Perhaps Nolan's best directed film to date yet once again he is let down by his own inability to write a screenplay that matches his directorial prowess. Many underwritten characters aswell as an overabundance of characters shoehorned in to further the plot and serve no other purpose (Florence Pugh). As has become expected with Nolan's films the sound mixing left alot to be desired as I found myself picking up just a handful of words in the first scene alone.…

  A beautifully told story which tackles grief, hardship and loss in such a delicate, precise way. There are countless scenes throughout that are short in their runtime but pack a perfect punch. It’s technically perfect, with a brilliant score, amazing sound mixing and a soundtrack that fits the aesthetic and ‘feel’ of the film to a tee.
