The Brutalist 2024
An epic film with A* cinematography. I’m so glad I got to see it on IMAX. The story/plot is brilliant, which was really aided by the acting. The score paired with some of the shots really make this film grand.
It really took a turn in the second half which I wasn’t expecting at all, but I managed to make it through the full 4 hours because the pacing was so well done.
-1 star for the use of AI, and I don’t think that Adrien Brody was the correct choice for the role. I think they should have gone with a completely unknown actor.

Wicked 2024
Wow. One of the best movie-musicals I’ve ever seen. The movie didn’t feel 2hrs 40mins because I was always being entertained and was magically bringing introduced to the world of Oz pre The Wizard Of Oz events.
The singing and acting from the main cast was of course outstanding. No notes. The final 10 minutes really cemented this films status as legendary and I cannot wait for Part 2.
-0.5 stars because I would have like to have seen more of Glinda and Elphaba being friends. Also Jeff Goldblum’s singing.
