    This was so gorgeous to watch and felt so deeply personal. It's such a lovely love story that balances being emotionally devastating (no more scrambled eggs please 😭) with a lovely message of making the most of the time we've got. I loved the ice skating and eggs at the end as well and how they showed that the people we love and lost exist beyond the time we have with them. Also need an architectural digest tour of that cottage.

    What a film to end the year on!!!!!! I had my doubts and went because it was the least unappealing film on that's I hadn't seen but I was so blown away - every scene is beautifully shot, and Ralph Fiennes gives a career best performance - the inner turmoil and angst is visible in every close up and line of his face, makes him in the English Patient look positively zen.
