    Man, this movie.
I love fantasy, specifically Lord of The Rings, but this is hard to like. From the production problems, overuse of cgi, bloated script, it's just all over the place.
At the end of the day I enjoy it, but it's certainly not one I go back to, often.

Such a good film. An amazing balance of tones and not a single weak point in the cast. Visuals and sound were stellar.
And Robert Pattinson is such a little freak and I love it.

Sam Raimi knocked it out of the park. This movie should be the prime example of having a vision and doing it, even if you only have 10 dollars and Bruce Campbell's chin.
The sound design and score are so good, as well as the set design. The shots of the moon get me every time!
Obviously there are some technical shortcomings coming from a low-budget early-career film, but I wouldn't say those take away from the film at all. If anything, they add to it.
    A classic!

Overall a solid Alien movie, especially as an introduction for new fans. We watched Alien immediately before, and some of the references to the other films were enjoyable, though occasionally a bit hammy.
My main issue was with some of the cgi (if you've seen it you know), but the practical effects were amazing.
