  Kiarostamis blending of fiction works very well in service of the emotional connection, in contrast to how a straight documentary would, for me at least. Very interesting to consider what particular moments that gets filmed in those extremely beautiful and carefully composed wide shots.

  The hype around Emma Stones performance is real, and it’s all about the transformation she’s doing trough the whole literal and spiritual journey.
  After a while I noticed that this is full of Americans playing Brits, which at first felt weird but after a while I got the feeling that it was a conscious choice, in the same way the production design and colorful sets are. Everything just gets a little more fun like this!
