Second viewing! The pacing is significantly better this time around, even though I liked it the first time. Didn’t feel like it lost it’s way in that 3rd to 4th act this time. A great examination of faith as sexual sublimation. Really difficult to watch a person fall more and more down into her own psyche due to overwhelming loneliness. It doesn’t help that she’s a total, well, c-word. Felt longer than it’s 90 minute run time, but that’s just as well. Interestingly timed, today (when I’m writing this) is Bill Paxton’s birthday, and there are some thematic connections between this and his Frailty movie.
