Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings 2021
I really wasn’t excited for this film but boy did it surprise me. Wenwu is my favourite MCU villain since Thanos, the performances were fantastic and the action stellar as expected.
Despite the third act being a cluster of CGI, it was driven by the emotion of the story and really hit home. I can officially say this film has given me something to look forward to now for Shang-Chi and the ten ring’s future.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 2002
The second entry in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, I have to admit that The Two Towers is my least favourite. The filmmakers had the daunting task of adapting three separate storylines in one movie, whilst also dealing with a difficult middle chapter of the tale that had no definitive middle or end.
Despite these problems, Jackson and Co did wonderfully. The score, acting and cinematography remain outstanding, the effects have somehow managed to

Where to start?
A movie that defines filmmaking in every aspect of the word. Beautifully constructed and detailed sets, breathtaking practical effects, revolutionary CGI, stellar performances all round. Ian Mckellen as Gandalf is astounding, the late Ian Holm and Christopher Lee act to perfection, and I could listen to Viggo Mortensen’s voice all day.
A masterclass in pacing, cinematography and direction, Peter Jackson and his team created a truly timeless film that still astonishes me upon every rewatch. The Fellowship…
