larry clark kind of perplexes me cause his movies are undeniably realistic, and remind me of some of my own teenage experiences and the crowds i dabbled in, but as for films? they dont fully appeal to me. its difficult for me to decide if i think his films are just too exploitative towards teenagers OR if it’s crucial to depict these subculture’s behaviors as they are, upsetting and uncomfortable. and even if i can’t come to a conclusion is it enough that im stimulated to think about these concepts? my own personal dilemma…
