veryyyyy cute, made me cry a few times lol
buuut also felt like it didnt know where/when to end, and some of the dialogue/writing was a bit heavy-handed. which really only stood out because there were a lot of parts that were very well done. overall a good time 🥰

I was expecting it to go darker and I'm so happy that it didn't! I loved how "sweet" the love story between Anora and Igor became, but that it's still rooted in some manipulation. She says he assaulted her, he says he was protecting her. In the end she's convinced, it seems. And her breaking down at the end is almost like resigning herself to a life of being convinced - we see her try multiple times to draw lines…

Fun, chaotic, and intense. Truly a dizzying amount of fights and kills, which teetered on being repetitive at times but mostly avoided it. In terms of the actual story... this feels more like an excuse to have a bunch of cool fight scenes than a stirring plot of any kind lol. Whenever it focused on story or character I could really feel the long runtime. Also some odd pacing moments. But overall a fun, violent, bloody time!
Half a star bump for the Midnight Madness experience - it was really enjoyable to watch with such an energetic crowd.

Very solid, entertaining, funny, and emotional, with a thoughtful script. Truly wonderful performance from Racal. The director clearly has a good grasp on both comedic timing and the more emotional beats, and I really loved how clearly this story was told. I imagine this would really strike a chord with Filipino women, or Filipinos in general if the Q&A is any indication.
