A very solid movie by Hitchcock. It doesn’t need much of an in depth explanation. Everything I learned in my Justice Administration classes made me hate the police officers in this film more than anything. The 50’s were a wild time for detective work

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
The movie itself was unbearably boring and slow. Also the main actor is awful. The shots and the scenes are absolutely next level. Really sad that the cinematographer got shafted with such a shite movie

Jarhead 2005
A very solid performance by Gyllenhaal. I’m normally not a huge fan of war movies, but this very easily and seamlessly breaks the barrier between blood and glory and the impact of war on a person. It highlights the worst parts of actual war and shows our protagonist working through it, despite never actually seeing combat. Enjoyed it a lot.
