  A match strikes any surface it can find. A cigarette touches the lips of a man out of his own time. The time traveler takes a drag. Smoke fills every room that grief, repression, and loss haven’t… and then fills the others up anyway. The house starts to burn. The flames take their time, then dance the night away, lapping at the stars above, while the time traveler saunters past the fire, looking for another surface to strike. 

  Did he light the fire? Had it always been there? What will burn next? Well, besides the next cigarette lodged between his lips.
