To get to see this film for the first time on the silver screen in our nearly hundred year old theater was a genuine treat to end my birthday with.

I’ve said all this countless times, but I will happily say it again. Singin’ in the Rain is a damn near timeless film that will always hold a special place in my heart even if it’s removed from my Letterboxd Four (I fucking doubt it). It’s funny, and well-choreographed, costumed,…

Dennis Quaid close-up in 0.5 as he’s shaking piss out of himself was genuinely the nastiest, scariest thing I have ever seen.

When the lady at the ticketing booth thought I said Black Bag, I should’ve just gone with it.

Annihilation, Alien, and Underwater but worse. After seeing the trailer and the initially positive reviews, this was one of my most anticipated of the year. What I got was full of tropes, lighting/color clashing, and horrible (if not A.I.) graphics/imagery. For something so ‘mind-bending’, I’d expect it to be much less straightforward.

I’m no director, but maybe get rid of Jesse Pinkman and use that money to get proper cgi?

I really wanted to love this! …I did not :\

I’m not sure how you can have Cate Blanchett, zombies, (attempted) political commentary, the atmosphere of a soap opera, visuals borderline reminiscent of Twin Peaks at times, vibrant color, and a giant fucking brain, only to have such a doozy of a film.

In theory these components (especially mixed together) should easily be a home run for me, but none of it seemed to work. Throw in the fact that…
