You don’t have any reason to care about any character, it jumps from one scene to the next with no transition or understanding of how they arrive at different locations, it’s like a home invasion thriller but the invaders are only capable of doing one thing so it’s difficult to maintain tension without dragging it out and the payoff is the same thing every time which gets annoying because we know the main characters aren’t going to get killed they…

Stronger 2017
Jake Gyllenhaal carries this film and all he had to do was the same thing he always does (yell in frustration and anguish and then cry his puppy dog cry), but this time without legs. The rest of the story was cliche filler with a mediocre cast and a director who never found his voice. The movie ending with a crowd of fans cheering “go socks” was an interesting decision given the subject matter. Realistically if anyone else led this film it would be a 2 or 2.5 I just really like Jake.
