The Boy and the Heron 2023
Such a good movie. Was very visually pleasing. Kept me just the right level of confused at first. Then everything started to click the more I thought about it. Music was great. Very fun.
Also, I fully knew that Robert Pattinson voice acted the heron. Then upon hearing the heron was like "oh I clearly must've misread or there must be another heron". Credits roll and confirmed that was indeed Robert Pattinson. I'm still in denial.

Poor Things 2023
Having a hard time deciding on this one.
What I did like was the art style, scenery, and wardrobe. The different locations were really beautiful to look at. Emma stone and Willem Dafoe had amazing acting in this. Really well done. The story itself was thought provoking.
Mark Ruffalo was good, but I felt like I could hear him go in and out of his accent. Maybe it's just me, but his way of talking felt unnatural.
