What a gem. Genuinely one of the best animated films ever made in my opinion. Yes, it’s a straight-to-DVD Futurama movie. But still.

A masterclass in sci-fi, comedy, and even the emotions hit hard. Matt Groening is often praised as a genius for The Simpsons, but Futurama is without a doubt his greatest creation.

No Simpsons hate, but the entire series of Futurama is just so well done and never gets old. Love it to death and strongly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t taken the time to watch it.

It’s fun enough. Been on my physical media collecting kick lately and for whatever reason something possessed me to collect the DVDs for Family Guy and American Dad despite not really following either of those shows for years.

Okay so I’m probably slightly biased because ridiculously violent and over the top stories with heavier emotions in the latter half of the story are kinda my favourite thing (Thanks Chainsaw Man)

I had so much fun with this. It’s a non-stop crazy action ride with great comedy and wild fight scenes. Blood and guts, creative kills, a cool girl in a cyberpunk-y helmet and a crop top going full badass, emotional beats that resonated with me, and a cheese grater for good measure; this movie was absolutely for me.

I loved this and had a blast. Wholeheartedly recommend!

This film seemed like it thought it was a clever deconstruction of the first film but really it’s just making it so that Arthur’s character arc in the first film meant nothing. The fan base of the first film was an interesting breed but this follow up seems to lose itself in saying “fuck you” to its audience. There is no satisfying story or conclusion here. There’s some interesting elements at play and the cinematography is beautiful, but basically nothing…
