Juror #2 2024
Got a good laugh out of the two shot early on with the defense attorney on the right saying "the person responsible for her death deserves to face justice" and Hoult on the left looking like he's going to throw up. Solid! Moral dilemma is well-portrayed, and Hoult really sells exactly how I'd expect a guy in his situation to behave.

Blade Runner 2049 2017
Loses a lot of what makes the original unique and interesting and replaces it with a story maybe slightly above the level of a youth-adult novel adaptation. Visuals are great, of course - no movie made by Villeneuve and Deakins could possibly fail in that department - but this lacks any sense of genre, and feels a lot more scattered and empty. Ironic given how distant the original Blade Runner feels; at least that one had a more distinct sense of purpose and style.
Still likely one of the better blockbusters in recent memory, at least filmmaking-wise. You could do a lot worse.
