  A Most Wanted Man 2014

  As a big fan of Anton Corbijn's previous films, "Control" and "the American" I was excited about this film, also given that Philip Seymour Hoffman and Willem Dafoe are in it. But unfortunately this film didn't quite do it for me. Based on the novel by John Le Carre it lacks the depth of "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" and the emotional impact of "The Constant Gardner". That aside, it is well directed and Philip Seymour Hoffman is great (as always) just think the story wasn't quite right for telling on the big screen.

  I Melt with You 2011

  I really like half of this film. The first half. I feel like they could've made more of it and made it more of a character based film. For me, halfway through, it just goes silly and becomes a different film. I agree it is quite self-indulgent, but I don't mind that for some reason... The soundtrack is perfect though and it's well directed.
