A movie that not only does not stick the landing, but barely even attempts the jump. Poor pacing, boring storyline, and an over-reliance on Ayo’s facial expressions to convey how “weird” and “creepy” the cult was meant to be.

A pet peeve of mine is when exposition beats us over the head with lines like “HE IS THE BEST LIVING MUSICIAN OF ALL TIME” because how can anything live up to that? Whatever follows will always be disappointing. The supposed…

Disappointed with this follow-up to Parasite, which was stuffed with far too many ideas that weren’t quite committed to and jokes that didn’t quite land.

Would it kill screenwriters today to simply write a script that didn’t undercut every line with irony? Do we have to use the Deadpool and Fall Guy approach and write every line as a shruggingly glib comment about ~society~? Can we not just COMMIT and be enthusiastic about something for once?!

Hypnotizing and stressful, two of my favorite ingredients for a film. Thought this would be a drama purely about divorce, and in a sense it is, but it’s also about a million micro and macro separations that take place as a result of divorce. The initial separation becomes the center of an elaborate, emotional labryinth that drew me in and never let me take a breath.

Overall one of my favorite movies I’ve seen. The ending made me desperately clutch for my boyfriend, fearful of the type of separation that had clearly poisoned this couple’s entire life. Loved it!

The best Terminator film since Terminator 2: Judgement Day. An entertaining study on gender roles, femininity, male loneliness, our dependence on technology, and whether or not we can replace human relationships with chatGPT.

Pacing was excellent, soundtrack was on point, and the dialogue made me laugh without being too irony-poisoned. Shoutout to Harvey Guillen, who played the comedic relief to PERFECTION. Jack Quaid can go fuck himself, and the film did a wonderful job of portraying that. 10/10 would recommend. Great movie.
