    Do I make you horny Baby? Sexiest British spy movie since Austin Powers. 

    Not a single action scene. There aren’t any gadgets (no cell phones either I don’t think). There’s no mission, no villain, no cool cars, no secret headquarters. The whole movie takes place in tastefully appointed dining rooms and minimally appointed government offices.

    Every facet of this film has been done better by other very recently released movies. Wanna see a luxury getaway descend into violence? See Blink Twice. Wanna hear a celebrated artist-turn-villain philosohize about creativity? Watch The Menu (it’s fine). Wanna watch a rational protagonist fail to convince fellow guests they’ve been invited to a massacre? Watch The Invitation (it’s great).

    And just saying it’s a cult doesn’t…

    It’s a horror comedy - never a good sign.

    Unrelentingly wry and overstuffed with effortful quirk. Every character, location and prop is zany to the max. It’s tiring. 

    There were elements that worked including a few great montages. I enjoyed the narration, Theo James was good and it occasionally resembled some of the Cohen Brother’s sillier stuff (there were a couple dream sequences that could have been ripped…
