so many things about this movie were just perfect. the atmosphere, the tone, the lighting, the cinematography, the makeup, the cast— all paid homage to not only a classic film, but the folklore that inspired it.

Moments of this film were incredible.
The opening scene stands out in particular-- Within just a few minutes the tone of the film is set, and the audience understands the basic principle of the curse, without the need for extended dialogue.
The recurring flashbacks to Skye's car crash were gut wrenching, and I loved how each time Skye relives that night, we learn more about why she is haunted by what happened.
