  It’s hard to write a review for this film without spoiling it, but at the same time, it’s not as if there’s much plot to spoil beyond the inevitable ‘do they or don’t they?’. This isn’t the film that I thought I was going to get based on the trailer, but I’m not sad about what I got instead.

  Pros: Shot lovely. Nice to see a film set in a Canadian town. 

  Indifferent/Notable: Lawrence is a pretty unlikeable character for the most part, not sure that he was fully redeemed by the end.

  Cons: Not sure that this story added anything new to the ‘teenage kid being shitty to their single mother’ trope. Also, the two college mates already sitting at the table at the end were very clearly much older than Lawrence!

  Overall: Easy film to watch!
