Mahito is a lost little boy trying to make sense of the grief of losing his mother. Sometimes letting go is all there is we can do.
Stunningly animated, worth every second of the 7 years it took to create. The soundtrack really soars. I did struggle at times to follow the story as it was quite abstract and fantastical but I did really enjoy this film.
