The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes 1970
Next on our list of Billy Wilder movies is a Sherlock Holmes movie that's.. okay I guess. All the performances are fine but it feels like Wilder is way off his game in the writing and directing here. I don't blame someone as prolific as he was for phoning it in sometimes at least.
The jokes are good but trite. The hilarity of the loch ness being a sub operated by midgets is also cute.

Watched on Max in advance of the sequel coming out this weekend, and I'm still unsure if we'll see the sequel instead of one of the many other movies coming out after the winter break.

Let's milk this franchise I guess, and try to make it a little between Aliens and Alien, and start making it clear that Ripley was never getting free of this. I think it was getting a little tired at this point but still had some life left in it. The setting was good and the ending satisfying.
