Fun at the start, also with a nice ending — but I got lost for a while somewhere in between. I usually like dreamlike movies, but this constantly meandering, somewhat theatrical narrative style (think: a lighter version of what Aronofsky‘s Mother! does in terms of dramaturgy) comes with a high risk of loosing the audience if it turns too idiosyncratic. Punk Body Horror. Extremely metaphorical, extremely stylish, extremely brutal — basically just extreme. All gut punch, no smart-assery — this movie makes „Triangle of Sadness“ look like a Disney flick for marxist primary school teachers. You can love or hate it for its blundness — not the point.
