Anora 2024
Loved Anora. Thought it was going to be Pretty Woman meets Russian oligarch but it wasn’t. Some brilliant acting by all. For me a highlight was the way the characters complemented and interacted with each other. There were some very funny and some sad moments. Overall great movie.

The Zone of Interest 2023
A sinister and haunting movie. An examination of how humans are capable of living with stark contrast in their lives; pure evil and a version of ‘normal’ family life. I found the way the more threatening elements were introduced, quietly and unobtrusively, to be very effective. I felt that the storyline lacked some clarity and the ending just seemed to dissolve away.
