Incredible how modern and this still feels. The plot, the body language-it all still holds up.
Amazing to see how much modern filmmaking technique this film invented. Also how so many later sci-fi films owe their skeletons to A Trip to The Moon

No answers, but good questions
I don’t get it. It’s weird. It’s disturbing. It’s surreal and baffling and so very lynchian. And yet, despite the chaos you can feel a ghost of purpose and design behind every shot soaked in gorgeous chiaroscuro, in the god-let-it-please-end awkward conversations, in all the freakiness and the grotesquerie.
Both off-putting and indelible. I couldn’t eraser it out of my head if I wanted to. Not sure that I do.
