Great movie, I was laughing constantly despite the heavy issues throughout
When Ivan said “of course, are you stupid” when Anora asked if they were getting a divorce, I’d been thinking that the whole time like “yeah why’d you think otherwise dummy” and then immediately my heart fell and I saw it from her perspective, that extra beat on her reaction really got me
Also I see why Sean baker won those awards but idk about this being best picture, sue me

A very enjoyable movie, not the typical Bong Joon Ho anxiety inducing style (though there’s that part at the end where I thought oh shit here we go) but his attention to detail and the characters are always amazing. I didn’t think I’d like Robert Pattinson in this role but I actually loved it and idk what it is about Steven Yeun playing a sleazy asshole but I think it’s my favorite archetype for him
The parallels to what’s happening politically are hilarious if you’re into that sort of thing, if not it’s probably very annoying, Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette killed it
