  One of my favorite podcasts, The Bechdelcast, constantly argues that all movies at their core are just about fathers and sons… and this is no exception. But it was fun and interesting, which is all I ask for in a movie.

  Also, I just fucking love musicals man. Like I had to come back and edit this review because I needed to add that I was blown away by some of the set pieces in this. The jump wave during Rock DJ? A thing of beauty.

  An utterly joyless experience that hates you for watching it as much as Todd Phillips hates himself for making it.

  You know, my favorite thing about the movie is it feels like a movie. A real go to the theater film.

  The plot exists insofar as it allows David Leitch to blow things up and get Ryan Gosling to punch people, and I am ok with that.
