The Apprentice 2024
Sebastian Stan needs an award. Pulling off playing Trump without it feeling like a parody is delicate and he NAILED it. Also the different formatting throughout the eras was so cool. It made you feel like you were watching something from that time. There was only 1 other person in my theater and it bummed me out that more people will have seen May December than this.

Funny. Exciting. Compelling. Violent. All those things. I appreciate that this movie makes fun of post-endgame marvel junk because even though it’s in jest…I think they really mean it. I feel like this movie was originally pitched as a porn, but then the producers were worried that the limited release wouldn’t make the money back, so they cut out the actual porno parts and left us with an awesome movie with dope sets, fantastic costumes, and groovy vibes all around. A movie that decidedly doesn’t take itself too seriously (looking at you May December) and brings us back to a time when going to the movies was fun.
