What a bummer that this dude was so right about the internet.

The first half is so fun and the second half tested my faith in Hugh Grant’s infinite charisma.

Tremendously, shockingly bad. For a movie that is so fretful about AI, it sure seems like it was written by feeding "a 14 year olds idea of cool movie" into chat gpt.
I've loved all of the other MI films but this might be the worst movie i've ever seen. A miserable slog of leaden exposition, boring dialogue, and dumb tropes. The writing is so bad that it made the action set pieces worse because, honestly, who cares at this point. Just a rotten, joyless film that makes the rest of the franchise worse by association.

There is no conflict in this movie. Unlikable rich kids realize that their other cooler rich classmates who they look down on are just as smart as them, and they have a mild freak-out about it. Every issue is resolved by wealthy kids generally being supportive of other wealthy kids. Might as well be called "upper-class solidarity"
