'Frozen Planet' is a sobering series given how rapidly these spaces are disappearing, but these BBC 'Planet' series remain the single best way to engage with nature while sitting at home. The photography, the writing, the narration, and the animal behaviors on display overwhelm me.

The Making of 'Rocky vs. Drago' 2021
"Nothing's perfect. Life is just about management of problems. Whoever manages their problems the best, has the best life."
As a longtime follower of Stallone's, it's no revelation to me that if you point a camera at the man, you get great video. This documentary just lets Stallone talk for 90 minutes. About his filmmaking process, about his career, about his life, about the problems with Rocky IV, and about the character of Rocky and why he still matters. I love Stallone, so your mileage may vary, but I could have easily watched another 90 minutes of this.

Greyhound 2020
This reminded me of the 'one hour' dogfighting storyline of 'Dunkirk.' Tension that never breaks and a perpetual feeling of 'I can't believe people lived like this.' I love that 'Greyhound' just throws you onto the bridge of this destroyer during the Battle of the Atlantic. It's like 'you figure it out.' I also love watching people work with analog technology and this movie delivered on that front also. In a perfect bit of punctuation, Krause breaks his pencil point at the end of the movie and then uses a hand crank pencil sharpener. I felt like clapping.
