  Wow…exceptional. Loved the animation style and the world. Thinking a lot about how films like this are unifying by nature…completely transcendent of time, culture, language, and age. It’s so simple, but that’s part of the genius. Truly a masterpiece. Also, the bird scene. 🥺

  Peak 70s animation. A pretty flat take of the material, but fun to watch this take on the characters compared to Jackson’s characters.

  I went in to this mostly blind and I think that paid off. Totally in awe of the color palette and camera work. I was most struck by how the way we see Callum (dad) is really Sophie’s perception of him. A lot going on beneath the surface…lots of pain, lots of questions. Need to sit with this some more.
